Dusty Miller: A Historical English Country Dance

From Thomas Wilson's 1816 Companion to the Ballroom

Dusty Miller was part of my dance list for my event Jane Austen's 250th Birthday Ball, which I held on December 16, 2025.

If you want to use my introduction, contact me beforehand to tell me about it and then give me credit. :)

Note: I got permission from Bare Necessities to use their recording at my ball for free, though I didn't end up using it.

Contact me to inquire about sheet music for and audio of a string quartet arrangement by Andrew Wheelwright that I commissioned for my ball.

Introduction I used at my ball

The Old Farmer's Almanac says, “Dusty miller is an ornamental foliage plant that adds texture and silvery contrast to the garden.” It has yellow flowers. This is our dance for Mansfield Park, because Fanny Price is a bit of a wallflower.
